# OrderNest POS App

Use the POS App to select a table, record guest details, build an order, send a
kitchen order ticket (KOT), and collect payment.

## Your first order

1. [Sign in and choose your store](/pos/getting-started).
2. [Select a table and add items](/pos/take-an-order).
3. Review quantities and instructions, then tap **KOT**.
4. When the guest is ready to pay, [send the order to billing](/pos/billing).
5. Record the payment under **Payment Methods** and tap **COMPLETE**.

On a phone or in portrait orientation, the product list and order items appear
on separate screens. On a larger device in landscape, they can appear side by
side. The order workflow stays the same.

## Roles and access

Cashier and Manager roles have access to payment, completion, discount, and
additional order-management controls. Other staff may see fewer controls or a
message asking them to contact a cashier. Store settings determine whether
offline ordering and Bluetooth printing are available.

Before starting service, confirm the store shown at the top of the table screen
and make sure products and tables have loaded.
