Printing and preferences
Kitchen tickets and bills use your store’s configured printing route. The POS also offers Bluetooth overrides when Bluetooth printing is enabled for the store.
Select a Bluetooth printer
- Pair the printer with the device using the device’s Bluetooth settings.
- In OrderNest POS, open the menu and select Settings.
- In Bluetooth Printer, tap Refresh paired printers.
- Select the intended printer from the list. Check its name and address.
- Tap Test Print and confirm a test receipt actually comes out.
- Enable the overrides you need:
If Bluetooth Printer is missing, ask your administrator whether Bluetooth printing is enabled for the store. If no printers are listed, check pairing and Bluetooth permissions, then refresh the list again.
Clear Bluetooth printer removes the app’s selected printer configuration. Select and test a printer again before enabling an override.
Retry a kitchen ticket
- On the order-items screen, open KOT Queue when shown.
- In KOT Print Queue, inspect the bill number, item count, printer details, retry count, and error message.
- Check that the printer is powered on, has paper, and is reachable from the device.
- Tap Retry All after resolving the problem.
- Check the physical printer output and the queue again.
Queue is empty! means the app has no queued KOTs in that view. If the queue reported success but the kitchen has no ticket, confirm the selected printer and coordinate with the kitchen before using Reprint KOT.
Deleting a KOT from the queue removes its retry entry; it does not print it or cancel the order. Use the delete control only when the ticket has been handled and no retry is needed.
Arrange NC and manager names
In Settings → Preferences, expand NC Names Display Order or Managers Display Order. Long-press a row and drag it into position. Changes save automatically.
NC ordering affects the list used for NC settlement. Manager ordering affects the Permitted By list used when disabling service charge. These controls reorder existing entries; they do not create new names or managers.
