Take orders and settle bills
Use the Sales App’s built-in table ordering workflow.
Open TAKE ORDER from the main menu. You can take orders from the Sales App without switching to the separate POS App.
Create the order
- Choose the order type and zone, then tap the table.
- For a new table, complete Guest Info if prompted, or use Skip.
- Browse categories and subcategories or use Search products.
- Tap a product. Choose add-ons and tap Proceed when prompted.
- Open the cart on a small screen or review the adjacent items panel on a wider landscape screen.
- Check quantities and add any item comments.
- Tap KOT to send the current items for preparation.
On a billed table, the app may open the bill directly. To change the order, use RE-OPEN TABLE and enter a reason.
Bill the order
- Send all current items to KOT.
- Tap the bill/print icon on the order screen to send the order to billing and request a bill print.
- Review the final total, discount, service charge, and any tip.
- Select a configured Payment Methods entry, enter the amount, and tap OK.
- Repeat for any additional payment methods until the full amount is recorded.
- Tap COMPLETE and verify that the order closes.
Cashier and Manager roles can record payments and complete orders. If you see Please send the order to billing before payment, use the order screen’s bill/print icon; View Bill alone does not send it to billing.
The Received control calculates change. It does not add a recorded payment. Use Payment Methods and verify those amounts before tapping COMPLETE.
Correct or specially settle an order
The order menu provides actions such as Shift Table, Move Items, Split Item, Cancel, and Reprint KOT, subject to your role and order state. Select the affected items when asked, enter the reason, and verify the updated table or order after the operation.
The billing workflow also provides percentage and fixed discounts and, when configured, Pending Bill and NC settlement. Pending Bill can require guest details and a reason. NC requires selecting an NC name and entering a reason. Review the amount in each case before confirming.
For detailed shared workflows, see bill adjustments and pending-bill settlement. Start those steps from the bill screen inside Take Order. POS-specific Settings, Bluetooth setup, and Offline Orders menu instructions belong to the separate POS App.
If work is interrupted
If an action fails, reopen the table and check the current items and recorded payments before retrying. If your session expires, sign in again with the same user and original store so local pending work can be recovered and synced.
